A ten minute procedure in which he blows cold air on a person’s neck can reduce sagging and wrinkles.
The procedure requires no needles, scalpels or medicines.
“Its good if you are fit and want to get rid of a little fat its not good if you are obese and need a lot of fat removed,” says Dr. Simon Ourian.
First, Ourian soaks a neck collar in sterile saline to moisten and cool it. He then blows freezing air onto the collar to bring the temperature of the neck down to around 6 degrees centigrade. He says this dissolves fats without affecting the skin. Read more

New ASPS Statistics Show Sizeable Increases in Facelifts and Other Surgical Procedures for Men
Statistics released today by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) show that more men are going under the knife. Overall cosmetic plastic surgery procedures in men were up 2 percent in 2010 compared to 2009. However, many male surgical procedures increased significantly. Facelifts for men rose 14 percent in 2010 while male liposuction increased 7 percent.
2010 ASPS statistics show that men underwent more than 1.1 million cosmetic procedures, both minimally-invasive and surgical. The majority of the Men’s Top 10 fastest-growing cosmetic procedures are surgical, which bucks the previous trend of growth in minimally-invasive treatments.
“The growth in cosmetic surgical procedures for men may be a product of our aging baby boomers who are now ready to have plastic surgery,” said ASPS President Phillip Haeck, MD. “Minimally-invasive procedures such as Botox® and soft tissue fillers work to a point. However, as you age and gravity takes over, surgical procedures that lift the skin are necessary in order to show significant improvement.” Read more

Laser treatment: Zap those fat cells
November 16, 2009
No diet, no exercise, no surgery - you can knock off excess weight just by shooting lasers into flabby areas.
You can get in shape within an hour without diet, exercise or surgery, claimed companies at a show in Dubai.
Exhibitors at the Dubai Congress on Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine (DCAAAM) showed off technology that breaks down fat by shooting sound and pressure waves or lasers into the body’s chubby areas. The destroyed fat cells seep between surrounding tissue spaces and leave the body with sweat and urine, the medical companies explained.
Though full treatments run over a few weeks, results can be seen and felt within the first hour of undergoing the ultrasound or laser sessions, according to the marketing literature of German cosmetic manufacturer Medilab, US medical firm Erchonia and Italian research firm Promoitalia. Read more
