On June 9, from 7-8 pm, Joie De Vivre (JDV) Med Spa, located at 2712 Fulton Ave, NW, Canton, OH 44718, is hosting an educational overview of the human chorionic gonadatropin (HCG) dietary regimen which has been surging in popularity. All are invited to attend. Reservations are limited. Please call by June 6 to reserve your seat: 330-438-4088.
Pharmaceutical HCG is FDA regulated and has shown dramatic and sustainable weight loss when administered under a physician’s direction. Pharmaceutical HCG can only be obtained by a licensed physician. As discussed by renowned medical professional, Dr. Oz, this is a rediscovered weight reduction program and is different than products promoted through the Internet or retail distribution.
According to JDV Medical Director Mike Gurney, “Our facility provides a 4 – 6 week program which produces dramatic weight loss of up to a pound a day with no hunger, which is often associated with other reduction regimens.” He went on to emphasize that the HCG diet is designed to promote weight loss from fat cells of the abdomen, thighs and buttocks with no detriment to muscles or protein.

“Adult obesity is continuing its relentless rise, according to a new analysis of government statistics….with two thirds of Americans are now either overweight (defined as a body-mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher) or obese (A 30-plus BMI),” reports Maia Szalavitz for MSN Health & Fitness. To address this “growing” market, more and more physicians are adding medical weight management services to their practices, and by far, the most popular option among consumers (since being showcased on the Dr. Oz Show in February 2011) is medically supervised diet programs, specifically hCG for weight loss.

Allergan’s Chairman and CEO David Pyott noted that, “Regarding the obesity intervention line, Q1 sales decreased 14.9% in dollars and 16.0% in local currencies. Overall, bariatric procedures in the U.S. market per our market research declined 12% in the first quarter year-over-year. In the U.S., we continue to suffer from lack of access for patients to LAP-BAND even if coverage in principle is available to members of commercial insurance plans. High co-pays and necessity to demonstrate failure and medically supervised diet and exercise programs are real barriers,” laments Pyott.
